Holistic Skincare: An Essential Guide for Therapists
Well-connected with the spa world, Angi Egan chose The Spa at Henley-in-Arden, South Warwickshire, as the perfect setting to launch her book, Holistic Skincare: An Essential Guide for Therapists.

The room was beautifully decorated with gerberas – to match the book cover – while French cuisine, fine wines and a chocolate fountain were arranged to celebrate the launch.
Although the book is aimed mainly at therapists, Angi said there are many people interested in natural health and beauty who are benefiting from understanding more about nutrition, exercise, stress and how these affect clients’ skin.

Andy McNamara, from Big Button Media, said: “I found the book accessible and full of common sense. And it looks cool too.”
Positive Pressure director Nicky Bancroft said: “It is wonderful to see our industry being celebrated for the positive contribution we make to clients’ lives.”

The book includes key points about nutrition, exercise, stress and holistic practices, including acupressure and Ayurvedic medicine, through to effective ways to communicate the benefits to clients in an authoritative and authentic style.
Independent holistic therapist Bharti Vyas wrote the foreword and described the book as: “an excellent guide for therapists that is highly informative and beautifully illustrated”.

Continuing the industry endorsements, Habia chairwoman Penny Turvey said: “I was drawn in from the front cover. This book can be used to cross-reference the aftercare advice being offered or to inspire when life is challenging.”
